Looking for some new friends for this journey...
Hi everyone!
I am new to this board and I am looking for some friends to travel down this road with. I had my Lapband surgery on April 8th, one day before my 26th birthday! I am excited and motivated but also know this will be hard work! If you have been on this journey for a little while I would love any advice you have. If you are just starting this journey lets challenge each other to a better life! I can't wait for what is yet to come!
Yay! That is so exciting that you have a date! Which surgery are you having done? It is going to be a long month until you have surgery, just waiting for it to happen! Keep me updated on how everything is going!
I am hoping to fit in some of my old clothes from college by this time next year, I was a size 14/16 then and am now a 24/26
. I hate that I let myself get so big but I now have a tool to help me get to goal. I am ready to start exercising, I will join curves as soon as I have healed a little more and plan on going on my lunch break from work 5 days a week!

I am having RNY in Burbank CA. i am super excited. i sort of feel like this month isn't going to be long, but filled with lasts. and then soon after surgery my life will be filled with firsts. The last time i will be sad about how i feel, the last time i feel fat. i am really excited about it. And i was never expecting it to be so close. i actually just got my date yesterday. so its really fun for me.
about the exercise i wish you all the luck i know its going to be the hardest thing for me to get to the gym everyday. i am going to try and get started on it now while i have the chance to get used to it. good luck with everything and keep me updated!

Congratulations on your surgery, and happy belated birthday!! I am just starting on this journey myself, but feel free to add me as a friend! I have heard that good support is one of the keys to success with WLS, and even though I haven't had mine yet, I already feel much more motivated to lose weight since I have joined the OH community! :D
